Pillar of Dreams (Pilar de Sueños) is a non-profit organization that brings together and organizes volunteers, donors and allies to mobilize resources and support children under challenging circumstances in Colombia. We believe education is the foundational pillar to empower children to achieve their dreams and recognize their well-being as a precondition to fully unlock their potential. This one belief guides us and motivates us to fulfill dreams and change the lives of the children we serve, by providing local schools and partners with educational guidance while encouraging the kids to engage and enjoy the academic opportunities available to them. 

We empower children to achieve their dreams through education and mobilizing resources for communities and local non-profit organizations in Colombia.

The Pillar of Dreams  Organization currently partners with 5 affiliate Colombian Non-Profit Organizations. In Cartagena, Colombia we work hand in hand with Amigos del Mar and Dones de Misericordia fundations, servicing over #300 + children in schools and orphanages in Tierra Bomba.  In Bogotá, Colombia we partner with Instituto Cerros del Sur (ICES) to service and support the underprivileged children of Bogotá. In Cali we partner with the Fundacion Nuevo Amanecer, supporting the needs of children with cancer. We also support with resources for the education of the children of the Fundación Jesús de Nazareth.

Creating a sustainable approach in designing social impact programs on the development of the communities we work with, Pilar de Sueños will focus on the education of both youth and adults. We strive to increase the opportunities of those we work with in becoming successful professionals. In doing so, the communities will benefit from this educated youth, leading to the improvement of their quality of life.

We believe in education beyond the classroom, we care for the academic future of the kids as much as we want to foster their integral health. We strongly believe in the strength of the link between sports and education. Pilar de Sueños believes in the transformative impact of sports in teaching the kids responsibility, discipline, commitment and good sportsmanship as they are a healthy outlet for their energy and creativity.

MISSION

To provide the children we serve with professional, academic and sports opportunities to enable them to explore their fields of interest through an integrated curriculum and activities. We want to prepare the youth to overcome their limiting circumstances and be able to access higher education.
